The walls came crumbling down

My Haven exists
never more...

With disoriented amnesia
our strength turns into weakness
we forget who we are...
and turn into bleakness

But in the face of it all
we are mightier, not just strong
remember the changes are only the places
embrace the challenges

Star lite star brite

A falling star
where does she go..
was she capable of
holding her own...

Falling from the skies
past the twinkle she
left behind...

Had her duties been fulfilled
as a child's wishing

I am without breath
as I lie here in wound
I can see into the faces
that have surrendered
past June...

The hatred that looms
consumes
into the cuts
the salt is poured

Excreting any good
from days gone by
with blinded justice

cold in serving
and feeling obliged

Not a lesson had been learned
travelling through life
simply unconcerned
the only aspect

Through the eyes of
a small child
I often sense
the wonder
as innocence
creates...

Allowing you the
second chance

forgotten...

A place in which
secrets prevail
and honesty is certain.

When nature blends

Nestled upon
a delicate balance
of rose pedal
and a misty dew
a lady bug
travels
with precision
dancing without shoes...
Weightless
as air blowing
beneath it's wings
it enhances
the rose's beauty
accenting it
while in full bloom.

Love letters

The forgotten letters
of yesterday
where hearts were
kept opened
by written script
intended for the eyes
of their lovers

Where simple embrace
or spoken
I love yous
could not transpire
without fear of dire

The claim of Love
as true it be
hand written
on papers of finest weave

Softly scented
and kissed with love
these legacy letters
appear tied ribbon
for generations to come.

Weather Vane

You point
in all directions
usually referring
to one...
which way
the wind is blowing
determination
yet to come...
You stand up
tall
and weather
about in storm...
as simple as
a day has rain
you tell us where
to turn away.

Liars, Thieves and cons

Integrity...
where has it gone?
Has money clouded
your judgement
your willingness
to be fair?

Do the lies come
so easily...
that cutting your vein
shows nothing more
than others pain...

As long as you
don't have to put
a face with a name

That dollars now
are just a game
and people's falling victim
are just part of the system.

Across the desert's sand
unbearable the heat
at the sun's command

Delirious
as I stretch out my hand
tasting the water
nothing more than
salted sand

My feet are blistered
cracked
I cannot stand

Along comes a lizard
moving faster
than this man...

Survival of the fittest
insurmountable
for sure.
