How are you today? I know it's been awhile.
I'm working on new ways to update my blog.

Today, I would like to share with you something of interest.
A very dear friend of mine recently sent me an email
which I hope he doesn't mine me sharing...
about the new camera technology.
The link below is of a photo taken at the 2009
Inauguration, in which you can see "In Focus"
the face of each individual in the crowd.
You can scan, double click and zoom to any section
of the crowd...wait a few seconds...and the focus adjusts.
Try double clicking a few times til you see the faces clearly.
But give it the few seconds to focus between clicks.

The photo was taken with a robotic camera at
1,474 megapixel. (295 times the standard 5
megapixel camera).
As my friend pointed out; makes you wonder who's watching
when you least expect it...

the laughter stays the same
together again
my memories stem
from past to present
all that is precious...

The moments that
we share
glances or the stares
remind us
life is here..

We're aging
and hearts are clear
that our time is so sincere
when parting brings a tear

Hello my friends!

Valentine's Day?
Hearts can be shared
and given in many ways.

I blinked...

In the blink of an eye
as you knew life to be
suddenly things
were not what
they were suppose
to be...

One day your laughing
planning future plans
the next
time has halted
and tears have dampen
now there's a frown

The usual suspects
have entered
the grounds...
now waiting for
answers
have turned things
upside down

Don't waste but a minute
thinking you'll always be
around
for in a blink of an eye
life as you knew it
will suddenly seize
to exist.

Southern Finesse

The air is fragrant
of jasmine flowers
while sitting here
for tea
The grass beneath
my feet
cool, as the sun retreats

Cucumber sandwiches
so petite
fine southern women
fanning from the heat
ever so shy
the eyes that peek
Waiting for their callers
gentlemen in sync
wrap around porches
is the place ladies meet

Courting is done
from the time
of sixteen
fancy apparel
of corsets and nickers
Fine southern women
sipping their teas.

Taking chances

At last
the calmness over
comes me
awaited like
destiny...
as long as
the journey took
it redeemed itself
inexplicably

A moment
lasts but
a minute
past...
eternity seemed to
have wavered.

Here I am
suspended
capable of anything.

Misleading

Around and around
I go
helplessly spinning
my wheels
what looks like a rose
may smell like a rose
but the fakes aren't what they appear...

Backed into a corner
with nowhere to go
I fail to see
what's in front of me

Around and around
I go
for those who are
about to know
you've met your match
when you confronted me
sorry sights
for those who see.

All in a days work

When the sun rises upon us
nature awakens naked truths
anything the night before
might have swindled
then kept it stored..

Brand new eyes
in view of hoards
making way for relentless chores

Haste
through dampened leaves
and broken trees
dodging all, but traps
not meant for me.

Night will fall
the dark will cover me
waiting patiently
unassumingly...

Price to pay

Does the silence
that you keep
bring you solace
enough to sleep

Does your heart
measure
incomplete
when going about your week

Does your mind
reveal
subconscious thoughts
that bring you back
to me...

Does the silence
that you kept
haunt you now
where freedom
should have
set you free...

Dimensions

Upon awakening
from a sleep so deep
entering this world
confused as I think...

The lines we cross
can sometimes seem
so real
coming back
leaves questioning...

Answers to our
lives in dilemma
encoded passages
leading us through...

On shaky ground
my view is hued
upon awakening
clarity misconstrued.

I have lived well beyond
the years I've reached
today
bearing the weight
I struggled through n' through
set upon me
I share blame
choices I forged
alliances I made...

I am not here
to seek the light of day
a moment of disarray
I reminisce
to find my way
seeing exactly
what I claim...

The years that cover me

reverting back
lost memory
contentment I've found
easily pleases me
onward bound
beseech me...

My angels

You are my angels

every decision, every thought
when truth be told
forget me not...

Before me as I wake
taking hold this hand in fate
you cover my mistakes
and teach me what to take

You lead me, as if I'm following
my mind is clear on that
at times
when hesitation over clouds
my intuition brings me back

I'm aware of that
surrounded in my path
everyday, each moment past...

Untimely

I watched you
as you were leaving...
slow, was a relevant term
for into your soul your eyes
revealed,
Our life lay ed out in plan.

My words were
sunken and muddled,
with such pain...
this departure was insane.

I've always gone
with you, don't leave me here...
your stepping into another plane,
hard for me to explain.
Promise me you'll meet me,
when my course is drawing near.

Words unspoken

Was it purpose I first saw,
the glimmer in your eyes,
That boyish grin,
that led to cries...

The way you curled up next to me,
releasing all denies...
Surrender caught by surprise.

It wasn't in the words you spoke,
nor how you looked at me...
it was all the things,
in which you gave to me.

The tear that fell,
from the corner of your eye,
the gentle touch that lingered on me...
the cup of tea, the fragrant rose,
the sharing of your clothes...
the note that said, don't leave me.

Was it love that I first saw,
that made you come to me...
The man that owns his dream.

Stepping stones...

I've travelled so many roads in time,
making the acquaintance,
some lasting, if only for awhile.

For the time it takes,
to listen, and a hand shake,
opened my mind to levels,
that paved my life's direction.

Some I have brought with me,
some reflect a memory,
But all, I have not forsaken...

For without these faces,
I would not be,
well rounded of person,
no regrets here indeed.
