"Detective's Stowe and Riles are here to see
you Mr. Thornhart."
"Send them in please, and thank you."
"Well you don't seem surprised Mr. Thornhart."
"No, I am not." "My lawyer has filled me in
somewhat."
"We're sorry to inform you of your mother's
involvement." "On the other hand, this does
clear your name." "The purpose of our visit
today is to let you know that we have arrested your
mother this morning." "She's not talking, your father
is out of town, and we are awaiting his arrival."
"We didn't know if you wanted to come down to the
station until he arrives."
"I appreciate the thought, but unless your requiring me to
appear there, I have no interest in that women."
"She is not my mother!"
"We thought if she was scared, she might open up to
you a little." "She is insisting on having her lawyer present."
"That's all we can get out of her."
"I can't help you, I'm sorry." "Here's my card, if you change
your mind, please call us, the sooner the better."
"Thank you, my secretary will show you out."
This is my journey in which my life has taken me. Looking forward to meeting you along the way...

father's praises.." "How could our own mother
hate her child, her flesh and blood." "I can never forgive
her."
"Do the police know of all this?" "I'm sure they do by now."
"They will be visiting you again, you can count on it."
"Don't worry Clayton, I'll be there to help you."

"Clayton, you have to stay calm, hear me out."
"Troy Baxter wasn't involved in your sister's killing."
"Nor did he kill this new women." "Your mother had

and goings." "Your mother paid him quite well
for that information." "It was shortly after Melissa
gave him the boot, he was in the right place at
the right time to be seduced." "Apparently your
mother wanted Melissa dead for a long time."
"But I don't get it!, why did Troy tried to blame me?"
"I'm guessing it was because you hated him so much."
"I hated what he did to Melissa." "He came forth now,
because the cops were coming down on him hard."

the truth." "And your mother was starting to back him into

bad mouthing the hired guns that killed Melissa."

Melissa's killing." "Like that dead lady who tied the cases
together." "They knew her world would come crumbling down

"Hello, Ellie!, I am a few minutes early, I hope
that's fine." "Not a problem Clayton welcome,
make yourself at home." "Would you mind pouring
us both a glass of wine, while I finish up here?"
"Absolutely!" "You know Ellie, you have a wonderful
home here." "Thank you Clayton."
"Listen Clayton, I thought we would have dinner first, then
go over the evidence together." "Is that alright with you?"
"I'm starving Ellie, I don't think those files are going anywhere."
"Good then, have a seat, everything is perfect timing."
Ellie's dinner was the best thing Clayton has had in a long
time. Usually, he's always eating fast food on the way home,
or coming home too late and grabbing whatever exsisted
in the fridge. He was enjoying himself and the interesting
conversation, but knew the ugly business was waiting.
He couldn't wait any longer now, no matter how delightful
the company was. His life was hanging in the wind, and
no longer would time wait for him.
"Give it to me straight Ellie." "Okay then Clayton, but I think you
should sit down." "I had Harry check every possible loop hole
for a mistake, but there wasn't any." "The evidence we compiled
proved without a doubt, that your mother had your sister killed."
"Are you out of your mind Ellie!" "That can't be true!" "I know our
mother didn't have time or patience for us growing up, but to
kill my sister?"
"She wasn't working alone, according to a third party."
"Who Ellie, I can't believe my ears, what third party?"
"Troy Baxter." "I knew he had..." "No Clayton, not what you
think."

"Hello, Ellie!"
"Find out anything more about the envelope
contents?" "Hi Clayton and yes, let's meet."
"How's seven?, we'll make it dinner as well."
"Sounds good." "Let's meet at my house, I'll
cook." "You cook Ellie, well with that busy
life of yours, who would've thought." "Okay
Clayton, I'm a pretty good cook I might ad."
"Well I'm looking forward to it Ellie, and thank you.
"The address is 58th N.Adams."
"There's a new twist in the case Clayton, I think
you'll be quite surprised." "Ellie, don't leave me
hanging like that." "I'm not intentionally Clayton,
but we can discuss it when you get here."
Seven o'clock couldn't come quick enough for
Clayton. Ellie's last comment left him wondering
all sorts of things. Clayton also wondered about
Ellie. What her house would look like, what would
she be wearing. Is she interested in him.
He knew he had more serious things on his plate,
but he would like to make Ellie one of them.
Not knowing where his life stood at the moment,
made this an almost impossible dream. But
Clayton had to hold onto it.

"Mr. Thornhart, there are two detectives waiting
to see you." "Should I show them in?" "I don't have
a choice, thanks."
"Well hello Detectives, what can I do for you today?"
"Hello Mr. Thornhart."
"Were just following some leads on the case." "We
have reason to believe that there's more than one person
involved in killing this women." "And oddly enough,
you keep popping up here and there."
"I didn't do this!" "I swear someone is trying to frame
me again." "Well your alibi checked out Mr. Thornhart."
"But don't leave town for any reason." "We will be wanting
to talk with you again, this isn't over yet."
The case was starting to take shape. There was more
than one person involved. There's always that one person
that you would never think had anything to do with anything.
In this case, it was Mr. Thornhart's mother. That guy is in for
a rude awakening. And to think she paired up with that
Troy Baxter fellow. It was up to the detectives to figure out why.
What part did they play in it.
Yeah, there's a hot seat now, and we have a case to solve.
Our tips paid off, and lead us straight to the jackpot.
It's just a matter of time now. When you get this far in a case, it
usually starts to unravel all by itself. I believe this time, we
will have a conviction. And I also believe that the two case's
are linked together.

"This is all that was in the box Harry?"
"Yep!, do you really need more?" "I suppose
not Harry." "I need to know who's prints are on
the knife, and the spoon." "You got it."
Harry worked as an all around kind of guy for
Ellie. Part private eye, body guard, best friend.
They had known each other since she was a child.
Harry and her father had gone to school together.
Ellie's father was killed in a car accident when she
was fifteen. Harry never married and found himself
quite comfortable taking care of Ellie. She's the daughter
he never had.

I know where I'm suppose to be." "My heart tells me

As Ellie looked through the contents of the
envelope, Clayton stared through with impatient
eyes and bated breath.
"What is in there Ellie?" "Well for starters Clayton,
apparently, you wrote a letter to Melissa," "and not
a I miss you letter."
"What's that suppose to mean?, let me see it."
" I'll hold it, said Ellie." "Is this your handwriting Clayton?"
"It looks like it, but I never wrote Melissa any letters."
"We talked all the time on the phone, or we met in
person." "Why would I need to write any letters?"
"Let me read this."
"What the hell! Ellie, I swear I did not say any of this."
"Melissa and I were best of friends, as well as brother
and sister."
This letter is stating that you threatened Melissa with
her life, if she didn't stop seeing Troy Baxter.
"That's not true!" "I wanted her to stop seeing him, but
I never threatened her for any reason, why would I?"

a silver spoon with your initials engraved, and did I mention
that there's blood on it?"

here's one dollar." "I have now officially hired you

"Where is he?" yelled Troy Baxter as he

Clayton's secretary of twelve years. "Don't tell me

"You always make a habit of storming in people's

you out on your face." "Yeah, but you won't." "Your
just as curious of why I'm here, as I am of you." Troy
aimlessly glared.
"I've hated your guts ever since you started trouble
for Melissa and myself." "She never would have left me."
"Who are you fooling Troy, she was smart enough to do
that on her own."
"You should have been convicted all those years ago."
Clayton yelled out. "Me?, now who's the one fooling
themselves." "You planned Melissa's death for a long time,
in hopes to frame me." "But it back fired didn't it?"
"The police thought it was you all those years ago."
"How did you do it Clayton?" "I gotta give you credit,
it was brilliant." Troy said with wishful admiration
had it been his idea." "That's it!, no more, get out!"
"In due time, my friend, in due time." "I want you to
study what's in this envelope." "I suggest you look
very carefully, and think twice before the cops start
snooping around again." "Get out! now screaming Clayton.
"Don't ever show your face back here again, or I'll..."

"Well, what a fancy office your money bought you."
"What do you want Troy?" Clayton impatiently
snapped."
"You always make a habit of storming in people's
office's unannounced?" "I should have security throw
you out on your face." "Yeah, but you won't." "Your
just as curious of why I'm here, as I am of you." Troy
aimlessly glared.
"Oh I think you'll be looking for me Clayton, I'm sure
I'll be back." "Bye cutie, Troy snickers in Maggie's
direction.
"Maggie, get Ellie on the phone." a now distraught
Clayton.

My apologies
Sorry folks, I had guests for a few days, and
decided not to get on the computer. I actually
didn't have time to. I apologize for the lack of
commitment to my writing. I know how all of you
missed me...ha ha ha..
I hope that all of you are enjoying my latest story telling.
I'm trying not to bore anyone, but considering it is the
internet, one never knows...just hang in there, if you don't
like this story, maybe the next. But the important
thing is to keep coming back. Eventually, you'll find
something you'll like. And of course, I'll be going
back to my poetry entries soon. So have fun, be
intrigued, pass my blog along, be seeing you on the highway.

Silverspoons (Part 3-Fiction)
Back at the police station, Detective Tony Riles
and Detective Ed Stowe hash out what little evidence
they have. "I don't know Ed, maybe we're chasing
our own tails here" said Tony. "Auh, that's not like you
to give in so early," replied Ed.
Okay, we have another silver spoon left at the scene.
Again no finger prints, wishful thinking. One dead lady,
early twenties. "Hey, she kidda looks like that Melissa
Thornhart chick." "Yeah, I was thinking that myself Ed."
"What if this killer is not the obvious suspect, but connected
to the suspects we have somehow." Not just some random
nut job copying a high profile case.
"Yeah, there was always something odd about the Thornhart
case that stuck in my gut, we just couldn't prove it."
"I know your gonna think I'm crazy, but I'm leaning with that Baxter
dude." said tony. "His reputation is not one of subtle
character." "So your giving up on the Clayton angle," replied
Ed. "No Ed, but I do think there's a connection somehow there.
And we're gonna find out.

Silverspoons- (Part 3 Fiction- Short Story
Clayton had thought the past was resting behind him.
But this new case in question was keeping him awake
at nights. It brought back all the details of Melissa's
case. He knew the police were coming back, he
could feel it in his bones. They always looked at him
as the suspect in his sister's murder.
The police had found the silverspoon and tried to say
that Clayton planted it at the scene as a message
to their parents. As to say; it was all their fault.
They made this happen. Look at all the years of
disappointments and failures. The police have a
tendency to exaggerate. They were just trying to
get me to confess. Confess to a crime I did not
commit.
I know that they want to pin me for this murder, since
they could not make my sister's case stick. All they're
going on is that damn silverspoon again.
