Winter hues
This creek that passes through
showing different shades of blue
runs swiftly along
the blanketed sides of frozen banks of ice
The trees stand tall
wearing coats of white
renting out their hollows
to small creatures in the night
The air is crisp
as it cuts on by
this is winter at its best
roaring high from the sky

I'll celebrate this one day
as defined by me and you
longevity of our love survives
well tested through and through
I'll brighten your eye
with red roses
a box of candy too...
not for reasons of grander
but to feel me smile at you...
You know me better

countless fights and stubbornness
it's my way or the highway...
I bemuse to you
You've battled it out

Carpe diem
You wake up one morning
and you realize
you've been planning
all the wrong things in life...

the pattern
that most people have
and although wonderful...

not lived yet...
You cover the grays

the signs as they grew...
the roses in bloom

Choose the view

today, not in a dream
