Completing the cycle

Everything beginning life
is a struggle...
whether it is breaking free from a shell,
squeezing out of a narrow birth canal,
climbing your way to freedom from
the depths of the sand,
to the beautiful unveiling
of a rose opening it's petals

We all start out with struggle...
trying to claim our way through life
one struggle after another

Developing that barrier that keeps us
protected
that same barrier that keeps us limited
and though we claim our way
to success and happiness
In the end...
we complete the cycle and struggle through.

Unforeseen

I can hear voices all around me
some appear closer than others
not a single light
my eyes can see...

Trying to visualize
by the scents I breathe

Some one's close enough
leaning in toward me
based on my neck hairs
warning me

This chair is hard
no arms to level me
I cowardly turn inwardly
guarding myself sufficiently

"Why am I here?"
My own voice screams!
Blind sighted by what followed me
"We are here to disengage you."
From the pole that impaled you.

Before I knew it
I was coming through
what seemed like years
the darkness grew.

My Angel

I heard your bell ring
in the middle of the night
rest little angel, rest...
I knew you had come a long way
in search for this very night

So proud you are
to have joined the ranks
nestled upon your shoulders
wings of wisdom and golden light...

You will always be here
right by my side
like training wheels
til I learn to ride...

And in the days
that lay ahead
the little nudge, the hesitance
within my gaze

guiding me along

Spring has sprung!

Okay, one would never know it in some parts that Spring is here.
Planting ideas are forming for your gardens.
When should I start planting?
I know, I have already bought my seeds and bulbs myself.

Planning ahead of time where you will be planting your Spring choices
will prove to be valuable, as well as saving you time.

It is all apart of the landscaping!
Then you have to think about shade, full shade, partial sun, full sun etc.
Some plants will work well in all areas. Be sure to read up on individual plant needs
when purchasing. Know where you will put them in your landscaping, not just because they look pretty!

Start your planning early enough. You should have already ordered your seeds and bulbs.
Planting can start anywhere between the end of March into the end of April.

Remember to just have Fun with your garden!
Plant plenty of color!
Plant so that you have something blooming all throughout the season.
Come up with fresh new ideas for planting.
Don't be afraid to try something new, an old idea into a new idea.
Planter boxes instead of in the ground. Platform levels instead of a pot on a stand.
Small changes can make beautiful eye catching landscapes.

Ruffles, Ribbons And Bows

And all those visions embedded
in our minds
as little girls
are the foundation we build our dreams on

The seed is planted early on
growing silently in the years to come
When will be their wedding day
all gleaming eyes aglow

But as this guise rolls around
though not more than a dream
for it's in their minds
how it's meant to be
and only some will ever see

Standing Up To The Plate

While in the midst of lighten sparks above me
Sounds of thunder crumbling, rolling down to die,
Hoping to see only replicas of me,
I watch through horrified disembodied eyes.

The long barrels cramp my hands
Dare I not let go
Nights befall me, days unfold
But we're stuck here all about us,
Crimson and gold

Was it our hearts that you broke
Or our souls that you stole
When you sent us here to restore
Our duty stands before

We pray for the crying
The young and the old
Yours, theirs, and mine
All of us, just want to come home.

Roads Change

I feel that I am the one with the new face and not my blog.
My life has taken on so many changes.
A complete overhaul one might say.

I am spread so thin, thus taking the approach of one step at a time.
But it seems as though I am not getting anywhere.

This was a major stop, getting back to my sanity of my blog.
I see that a lot of you kept it going even without new and updated
content. I have met such awesome people through this blog over time.
The fact that you came back to view the old
and not retrieve your names from my site proves it.

Life's Preparation

At day's break
I seldom see
glimpse's of
life awakening...
In hollow trees
and under leaves
scurrying
about like it's
reckoning...
Resources
some are shared
and others only
few would impart...
But early rise
and early start
are not just for
the young at heart.

Proposal

Kissing underneath
a willow tree
enclosed by the
dangling arms...

Smitten young love
within us all
acting like teenagers
afraid to be found...

Like a Hula skirt
swaying around
whistling breezes
the willow trees arms...

Shaded underneath
this skirted palm
I asked my love
to marry me.

When the tower crumbles down

I have exhausted what
my options are
no loop holes
left unturned...

I have not slept
endless hours
ticking away
at a snails pace...

The phone that rings and rings
and no one seems to be there
chasing me into seclusion

I have awaited
answers
that my prayers have
delivered with
pleading cries...

With time running out
I seek refuge
in my faith
and surrender to it's power
ultimately guiding my way.

When Life Takes A Back Seat

You can wait yourself out
until pride no longer serves
you as a purpose...

As you sit there and age
beyond the gray hairs
and middle section
grown wider...

You'll remember...
You will remember
what it was that was shared

Those laughter moments
that hurt deep inside
the games that were played
when summers heat
was cast aside...

The tears, the fear, the memories
all became a reality
not for one, but for all of us
that changed our lives
unimaginable...

Now look at what remains
all taken by a fate
not all of us have seen

Is it too late?
to get on with our dreams
or has stubborness
and pride claimed the last of thee.

The heaviest weight of all...

I have walked along
the sands of beaches
through the dunes preceding
I have climbed
mountains spiraling high
with ponds at landings
I have carried the weight
of heavy packs and camping gear
upon my back
But what I perceive to be
the longest terrain of all
is sitting and waiting
at night's fall
not knowing if the enemy
will show on my guard...

No Way! She's Back?

Yes it's me...
Where have I been...
I have been where no man has gone before!

Even Captain Kirk can't help
me out here...

I've been working my tail off
with business. I'm sorry, but I did
give you notice about it. This isn't my
usual (I've been busy line) even though
I don't 'give you lines' just the truth!

How's every one's summer going so far?
The heat is killing me in upstate NY.

I hope your trying to stay cool
