Well.....

Did everyone enjoy their Valentine's day?
Not the one that is hyped up for commercial
purposes, but the one that you create
with your loved one as recognition
of your love you share everyday?

That could mean an extra serving
of their favorite dinner, or a little note
you left them on the bathroom mirror...
It should be easy, and it should be fun.
And most importantly, it should be because
you 'want to' not because your forced to
celebrate it. If you have a positive attitude
about it all, then all the commercial stuff
does not bother you. In fact, you find
it rather helpful in getting your message
across to your loved one.

Is the snow gone yet?

Have we seen the last of
the snow yet? Are you living in
an area where there is snow?

I enjoy it, but in small doses.
I am getting ready for it to go away.
Perhaps it will be a short winter
as far as snow goes...sorry you guys
that love the skiing..

I'm looking at a mountain of it
outside my window (in my yard)...
and yes, I want it gone...

Hiking is more my cup of tea
at the moment. I do love activities
in the snow, but all the equipment
starts weighing you down..that's when
it starts getting old.

So to all my friends out there who
are having fun in the snow...
enjoy it while you can..

Above us only skies...

When the moon
is out so bright
amongst it's casting light
creatures small
and creatures tall
in reverence I site...

Illumination afar at night
casts it's spells
upon our frights...

To amend any misconceived
ideas brought into sight.

Positive action to positive thinking!

Are we ready to start off this New Year
right?
It's not so much about the diets and
starting new routines off right, it's
about being positive!

That's right! for any of you that
need to start being more positive about
all aspects of your life, let's give it a shot!
If you already are, that's fantastic!
Your ahead of most people. It is the most
biggest weight to carry around with you.
Especially if it's other peoples weight.

You just have to acknowledge first that it
exists. Then take one approach to it at a
time. Decide what to let in and what not to.
I am going to take my own advice and
start this regimen. You can not move
forward if your life carrying around a heavy
weight all the time, especially if it is not
even your own! Life is hard enough, try
finding a way to keep it as simple as possible.

Staying positive will be our goal together
this year. Let's try our best, sometimes you
just need a little boost!

Coldest at night...

I sometimes wonder
sitting in a room
the comfort, warmth
familiar surroundings
ever changing
keeping us new...

How lucky...
for what we have
noticeably goes unrecognized

Survivors of the coldest nights
a box or two without any glue...
always getting hit
by the door on the way out

Yes, be thankful...
for something new
be grateful
you get to choose
remember sitting by the fire tonight
all snuggled in robe
light burning bright...

There's someone in need
perhaps, not in your sight
that the extra scarf or
blanket might shed a different light.

This is the baking month!
well at least it is for me...

I bake all kinds of things; soups, breads,
cakes, pies...I even make candy...
I have a long list of requests to fill.

How about any of you out there?
Do you love to bake? I bet you like the eating part better..
I bake for gifts as well at the Holiday time.

Why not try a gift basket this year?
Don't pay someone else for it when you
can create one yourself...it's easy.
They do make great gifts especially for the person
who has everything. Find out what their favorite
cookies are for example. Add some candy,
the usual things not just wine and cheese, crackers.

Hi Everyone!

It's October and that means Halloween!!!

For those of you who partake in these festivities,
are you planning your parties and costumes
maybe a few hay rides...

Halloween is an awesome time!
When I was a few years younger,
and we'll leave it at that...
I used to go to Halloween parties
all the time. (Adult parties..)
What a blast...but the best part was
planning your costume....yeah that's right,
it took a lot of planning and putting together the
right articles to complete your vision.

Unlike today, most people solely rely
on store bought costumes. That's okay,
but it's so much more fun creating your own.
The things we use to come up with, would floor you!
You'd be on the ground laughing.

So create your vision! don't dismiss the first ideas
that come to mind...they are not as ridiculous as you think.
If you really put your mind to it,
you can make them become real...and be the life of the party!
