It's October and that means Halloween!!!

For those of you who partake in these festivities,
are you planning your parties and costumes
maybe a few hay rides...

Halloween is an awesome time!
When I was a few years younger,
and we'll leave it at that...
I used to go to Halloween parties
all the time. (Adult parties..)
What a blast...but the best part was
planning your costume....yeah that's right,
it took a lot of planning and putting together the
right articles to complete your vision.

Unlike today, most people solely rely
on store bought costumes. That's okay,
but it's so much more fun creating your own.
The things we use to come up with, would floor you!
You'd be on the ground laughing.

So create your vision! don't dismiss the first ideas
that come to mind...they are not as ridiculous as you think.
If you really put your mind to it,
you can make them become real...and be the life of the party!

My Hands Are Tied

I am drawing a blank
I am so worn out...
my mind can not trace
the words all about

I can not feel
a response to write
or motion the words
out into plain sight

I am captive here
against my will
struggling to make things right

I am lost
not finding the peace within
and tortured
against my goal to win.

Everything ends to begin anew...

Have you answered to your
name before...
though when you turned
to say hello
no one's standing there...

Have you sat on a bus
a saw a face
belonging to someone
you could trace...

Have you questioned
your own faith
not as in God
upon several slates
but as in wisdom and aging traits...

Have you seen the life circle
appear closer to date
staring you in the face
reminding you the ride is half over...

Have you ever thought
life is great
and looked upon
what wasn't taught...
at what there is to come.

My path of wonder...

Wishing for the break in day
when time is called my own
Where thoughts of
desired choices calm my inner world...

Where worries
are but a thing of past
and no more control my path

Not living for those distant days
speeding up against my back
faster than I have
slept in tack...

I can sit idle or fill my everyday
and still the stress remain
For it not be my own time
free to be inside my mind

As well as when I was a child
my desires went astray...
Still moving towards the day
As much to my dismay.

Fall Crafts

It's September!
I start thinking about crafts
and projects to start.
They make great gifts, and
are also a source of making money.

Silk!
Have you ever worked with silk?
Dying different colors...
Silk screening is a fun craft to explore.

Buying a silk blouse or sheets can be very expensive.
The price of most kits are well worth it.
They allow you the freedom to explore
your talents for color design.
You can purchase silk from a bargain fabric store,
in bulk, or by the square for practice...

You can find several on the Internet.
With a little practice you would be surprised what
you can create.
And in the long run save lots of money...
Even make it, if you choose to sell your creations.

There are so many to choose from to get started
or for the professional and intermediate
Kits to get started with moderate to lower price range.
You'll be hooked!

Unsettled

Time is changing as the days grow old
not as in hours, minutes
but in form of reality verses images
I once encountered..

Images of the dreams
I once dreamt
goals I once set
one blending into another

As I sleep at night
tormented by the list
I left uncompleted...
and the unconscious fear
that it is chasing me in despair...

I awake undefeated
challenging
all that is rare...

With a rush flowing through me
that time is not here.

When has time run out...

I have looked as far as my eye can see
and in my heart
searched for my partners plea...

But nowhere...
have the words found in me
substance to set me free!

Echos forming memories
of emotions coming through clear to me
are neither gone
nor implanted in me...

I remain true to the day before me
with seasoned lessons
behind me
and falling back into dreams
of yester years still daunting...

I need a vacation from vacation...

Hi everyone!
I was away on vacation for awhile.
Seems like I never left and it's time for another trip.

I should feel relaxed, but everything is still the same.

It's good to be back at my home away from home
with all of you! Visions has changed it's background again
and I have decided to change it frequently.
I think as my own life reaches new goals and I change the furniture
around from time to time, why not here also...

So I hope that you will enjoy change as it appears
and grow with the flow...
a home is not a home if not "lived" in!
So please make yourself at home...

Cut loose in Photography!

There are a lot of awesome digital cameras out
there these days.
I need to still have something worth holding onto
in my hands.
Although slim, sleek, and easy to carry are compelling...
I need to feel some control of the camera...

Photography is popping up everywhere we turn.
A few of my blogger friends take such wonderful pictures
and it makes me miss it. I am not as good as some of them,
but I enjoyed it.

As a painter and overall artist, I have the eye for shots
that most people would pass by. I can capture those
details in my paintings, but always wanted to develop
those qualities in photos. Combining the two has always
been inspiring to me.

Canon has some nice sized digital cameras that
are good for the beginner to intermediate.
The weight is just enough to help steady
the hands. It is perfect if your starting out.

Your in the digital world with this camera, but the size
allows you to feel more in control of the camera.
You still have to look through the lens, which I like
about it, as opposed to viewing your shots through the
LCD on back.

So if your still a little bit old school...but embracing the future
at the same time, this camera is probably worth looking
into.

It came as such a surprise

I thought as I slowly opened

but there they were
sitting for a long time
unopened and thoughtlessly
buried under ad after ad
I never saw coming...

never thinking that I would resume...
since time has taken me else where

My absense due to work...

Hi everybody,

I have been so busy with my work,
that I have not been able to maintain my
blog.
I miss all my blogger friends and feel so bad beyond words.
I'm sorry..

You never visit anymore rightfully so..
but I will prevail I promise.
I can not see the forest through the trees right now.

I have not been able to visit you either and I apologize.
This took priority-my work...and I hate that it effects
my blog time.
Please do not give up on me my friends...

Upon a morning rise...

I am the silence
you hear in the wee morning hours
when your eyes
are barely opened
and your mind
is battling consciousness

I am that inner voice
urging you to get up and move
the one that tells you
there's no time to snooze

I am the weight of a thousand
gold bars...
baring upon you restraint
no matter how much you struggle
and try to release
you are caught between demensions

I am, I am slowly waking up...
fluttering just barely my eyelids appeal
still in debate, I stand on my heels.

Paying your dues...

All it takes is just on trip to fall
and all the promises of protection
seize to render in the understanding

No matter how diligent
you stayed on track...
it does not matter
when you take a trip

Their care is not
in the trip itself
but in how you slipped up...

What are you going to do about it
is the only concern
not that it's temporary
due to you never fall...

The years go by
and you trip just that once...
never to be clarified
just ostracized.

Remembering Easter...

Hello Everyone!

I hope that you had a wonderful Easter!
We certainly had a beautiful day weather wise.
It hasn't been that nice in many years on the
east coast anyway.

I remember as a kid walking to church
with our Sunday Easter Best on...
and having to wear just a light jacket that
so conveniently matched our outfits.
That was all we needed because it was so warm.

Not to mention the egg hunts afterwards!
so it was a pleasant surprise to have that kind
of weather for the Holiday. It brought back nice
memories. I love Easter...

So I hope that everyone enjoyed theirs for
those of you who celebrate it anyway.
I am looking forward to this Spring and Summer
this year.
