Hi everyone!
I'm trying to get prepared for a
New Year...
How about all of you?
are you ready? I'm pretty organized.
I like to have some sort of idea, then
execute it most proficiently.
Needless to say, I'm going to need
every hour that's left to this year
to prepare. I have many changes to make
for this new year approaching.
I need to see and feel a lot more progress.
The clouds aren't dissipating fast enough
in front of me to see clearly my path.

How about you?
are you on track? Do you have any plans in motion
yet? I'm not going to concentrate on what
to "give up" for the new year.
I am trying to concentrate on what I
need to do to acquire what I want to feel.
The old approaches are not working anymore.
So see you all in the New Year!
New beginnings abound!
May you all have a wonderful New Year!

My wishes for you

Happy Holidays!
Wishing everyone a wonderful Holiday Season!
I hope that all will find comfort in the "Little"
things, that do bring us so much joy...

I find myself thinking about those who may have no
one to share the Holiday with.
For those who can not afford a gift or two.
You will be in my thoughts, for I have been
there too...

Remeber what it's really all about in your hearts.
And the magic which is unknown in our logical heads,
will be shown in ways you didn't see before.
It may be through a phone call, unexpected...
It may be in a stranger who lends a hand.
It may be that you wake up to a feeling of warmth,
because someone placed a blanket over you
during the night...whether you live on the street
or in a gorgeous home.

It's usually found in the things we normally
take for granted because we're too busy.
Yes, your all in my thoughts on this Holiday Season.
I pray for those who are in need,
and wish you all the comfort of joy!
Happy Holidays!

Snow

We have upon us,
not a dream, but for such a distance,
cloud like in texture,
and whiter than cream.

It has fallen all about us,
Quite magical I believe.
It glistens and sparkles,
and leaves traces, not otherwise seen.

It comes but once a year,
in silence it appears,
it's presence is clear,
St. Nick is coming here!

So gather all your sleighs,
leaving shovels in dismay...
it's time to revel...
in this display!

Everything around me

You seldom speak to me,
I listen for a sound...
I feel your presence always near me?
as if your standing around...

You effect my thoughts,
the things that I choose to do...
Why are you so powerful?
even though I can't see you...

I've been with you all along,
even when your not beside me.
I feel I never had a choice,
my life unfolds before me...

Until the end, when we formally meet,
have mercy on my soul tonight,
It was the mistakes that taught me right,
not that they took me from your sight.

Not that I'm complaining or anything...
but this weather is crazy!
I understand that we are getting fifty degrees
in upper NY tomorrow. Cool!
This has been a weird season so far.
But I'll take it.
Hope that everyone had a great weekend.
Will share with you tomorrow.
Until then, stay warm if your cold,
and cool if your warm...

My Friend

My thoughts of you,
are seldom new,
enriched by shades of blue.

You've travelled along this
path of mine,
sharing a laugh or two.

As comfort names my many moods,
I'm usually thinking of you.
Along my side, you've never
questioned why...
just glanced a cognitive smile.

And like an old shoe,
I'll never lose,
this patient friendship of mine.

Okay, I know I've been screwing up
with entering a post everyday.
I was doing so well there for awhile.
Please have a little patience with me.
I want to keep my readers up to date
with a new posting everyday.
Lately, my life has been turned upside
down with all kinds of situations.
They have taken my usual schedule
off track.
There's a lot of demands of my time
at the moment. But I haven't forgotten
any of you. Your important as well.
Please keep the faith!
I am aware that some of my
visitors are also waiting with patience
for "my response" to their needs.
I have not forgotten any of you. Let's
just say, there's a delay, but I will respond
I promise. My wish is to treat any and all
with the respect you require of "your time".
I appreciate your patronage, and look forward
to helping all in return as well.

Hello everyone!
I just wanted to share with you
a couple of wonderful blogs.
You may already know of them, but
if not I recommend them.
First off, if you enjoy poetry, since you do
visit my site of course...first...

There is Poetry From The Orchard.
Artist is Ivan Donn Carswell.
http://igorevich.blogspot.com
wonderful artist. You'll enjoy his style of writing
and insight to many of thoughts.
Very casual, the kind of artist that captures
your attention and keeps it.
He is very "real" not looking to score points,
if you know what I mean. He's not all about "His"
blog only. Check him out when you get a chance.

The year in pictures.
Artist James Danziger.
http://pictureyear.blogspot.com
What a wonderful site to view such beautiful
photography! He displays his own work as well
as other artists. Again, an artist who is "real"
no hype. Just sharing with us all the beauty
that does exist out there. Without going to a
gallery. Check him out when you can.

Keep up the good work guys!

Hello everyone!
Hope that all of you had a great Thanksgiving!
I heard of a lot of accidents during Black Friday.
Shopping ones that is..
Can you imagine being stomped to death?
Not even a glance back, because you had
to be the first one to get the BEST deal...
See what the Human Life has come to mean...
WOW!
Or the glass door that was on top of an employee,
who was only trying to OPEN the door for everyone.
I am not sure of the exact facts on either of these cases.
However, it was written up in the paper, Times Union
I believe.
This world is truly becoming a scary place!
The Holiday season is just beginning folks.
Let's all try to remember there's enough for everybody.
Make your plans as early as possible, take your time,
and above all, be safe!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello everyone!
Just wanted to drop a quick
note to wish all my readers
a Happy Thanksgiving!
I hope that everyone has someone
to share it with. No matter how
small. Try to be with someone
even if you can't share a big meal.
Just being with someone no matter
what you have, is so important!
You will be in my prayers, and I will
be wishing only the best for everyone.

To all, Happy Thanksgiving!!

Winter

The cold frost blankets everywhere,
lets me know that winter's here.
The coats are heavy,
the socks are warm,
still I stand shivering out there.

I dredge through the snow,
while hiding my face,
wishing for warmth, this is not my place.

From one pile to another,
the snow accumulates,
it's lasting more than I can take.

Winter's arrived, and it's here to stay,
back in the trenches, my shovel retraces.

Taken for granted

You give of yourself
in hopes to please others,
and in return, they forget your there..

The excuses come easy,
plausible enough in the way that it's given.
your not expected to think otherwise..

You weren't needed,
why would you be summoned...
in the wake of thought,
time has past, and no longer reason.

Into another day we walk,
why are you mad? they ask
no need to explain myself.

The differences between ourselves,
forever torment my mind.
I'll give of myself again,
for that's who I am, and of whom I'll always rely.

The Sea

The depths of the sea
claim endlessly,
Alive with wonders
I have not seen.

A world of it's own,
creating order by nature alone.
The life that lives within,
takes part in structuring..

Survival for some,
may end as quick as it comes.
The freedom in which enables others,
time passage.

The amazing wonders
the sea has offering,
and the teachings it gives us,
both treacherous and forgiving.

The holidays are approaching fast.
Making plans for Thanksgiving.
This is my favorite time of the year!
You just have to remember to take things
one step at a time.
Don't allow the holidays to stress you out.
Breathe deeply and remain calm.
Take a look around you, and see the joy that
the small things bring into your life.
In the end, all things work out well all on their own.
We get so caught up in the "rush" and trying to
out do ourselves with gifts etc. that we miss
what it is all about.
So try not to get "as" mad at the person in line taking
forever...or the person that stole your parking spot.
or the store that didn't order enough of the product you
wanted in time.
Because in the end, we all blame it on the holidays!
And it's not the holidays that's at fault...
We all put the pressure on ourselves.
Have some faith, and do the best you can.
Relax and breathe deeply, take one for the team!
And then just sit back and watch the magic grow...
Money controls and dictates our lives...
but it can't take away our precious moments
that unfold right in front of our eyes.
It can be a comment from a small child. One
you least expected to hear. Something that teaches you.
It puts everything...back into perspective!
So if it's only about sharing one make shift Christmas dinner
with your friends and/or family, making the gifts that you
give because you couldn't afford to buy them.
Or sharing your food with someone less fortunate,
Please make time to "see" what the holidays are
really all about and enjoy what you have.
Wishing you all the best of the coming holidays!

Test of Time

I think of you from time to time,
the essence that caught my eye,
the slight mistakes that buried me,
you expelled them upon me so easily.

Was it calculated in your mind?
I wonder how I was so blind...
The deceit that one creates,
never justifies until it is too late.

I think of you from time to time,
rummaging through the devils gate,
Kindness tried to compensate,
imitating loves debate.

No use for you,
I sheltered from,
the wounds which made me dumb.

I think of you from time to time,
how I'm glad that it is done.

Unconsciousness

Into the darkness,
there comes light,
awakening your soul tonight.

Wandering thoughts,
escape me not...
face to face,
I seek them out.

Fascination flirting in plight,
abort these trivial,
attempts to fight.

Quivering, I stand still,
not a muscle to move,
weak with all my might.

Into the darkness,
there comes light!

Recognizable

It's as though I've seen
your face before...

Blank stare,
searching,
no files located...

Feeling as though
I stand before you,
naked and unarmed,
alone, without
the truth.

Bare none enemy,
however faint,
Blackened nights,
of last resort.

Remembrance
recalled a moment of past.
swept away, unanswered.

Glancing back,
time adjusted,
as though you were
never there.

The unexpected

Life has a funny way of opening windows for
our minds to expand on the unknown.
Not always is it meant to scare us, but perhaps
awaken us.
We do not learn everything from a book, or a classroom.
We do not learn by making judgements solely on tangible evidence.
Only when you let go of everything you thought you knew
to be true, does truth step in.
Does it make itself known by boasting?
Does it force you to believe? to accept?
When experiencing life's little knocks on the door,
the person on the end of the telephone you were just thinking of,
The cold chill that flushes by you, when it's hot out.
Perhaps, these are merely timed messages
to teach us there is so much more that exists.
And depending on what you allow in, will define what
and where, when taken out....

Awaited Love

You whispered with a wisp of air,
I love you,
into my ear.

You held me
as if I were your world,
the very glue inside your sphere.

In years of searching,
for love to stay,
countless were the ways...
Your subtlety of tenderness
embrace this heart with grace.

Solitude

Capture me from
the depths of silence,
The frozen space in which
time hollows.
Where breathing stands as still as night,
and emptiness reflects my sight.

Capture me from
boundless journeys,
the woes and the worries.
transpired minds desire.
Where letting go is harder than,
the actual flight.
and surrender is consumed by light.

Capture me
from there to where,
peace remains in calm.

Every breath counts

Once upon a time,
there was a heart,
So disturbed by truth,
It was most certain,
One day it would desiccate and die.

Deep in the hollows,
hidden by shadows,
This ole heart would thump.

It's host was never a party,
saddened by the sulking,
realizations brought to view.

Until one day,
this heart attacked...
Sending this host for a loop!

This heart decided,
it was staying alive,
Be it with this host,
or a host that's new.

Thank you

Well folks, it's over!
To anyone who kept up with my short story
Thank you.
It was easier to continue the story than it was to end it.
I could have come up with all kinds of plots,
devious works, romance. But it was a long short story
remember?
I enjoyed writing it, and I hope that you all enjoyed
reading it. Since I can't tell how many people may have
kept up with the story, I don't know if I'll be writing
another or not in the future. I may just stick to my poetry.

If anyone out there did enjoy the story, please come by and
drop a quick comment. I would appreciate it very much.
Just a minute of your time is all I'm asking.
It helps to have feedback for many reasons.
For one, I will know what I should keep writing and
what I should not.

Anyway, have a great day to all of you.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Silverspoons (Part 6 short story) Fiction

"Well Ellie, although it was an exhausting trial,
I'm glad it's over."
"Me too Clayton." "What are you going to do from here?
"Lay low, stay out of the public eye as best I can."
"What about you Ellie?"
"Oh, I think I might grab the attention, unlike you,
I could use it." "So your mother got life in prison."
"You know Clayton, what goes around comes around."
"She didn't get what she deserves Ellie, but that will
certainly due."
"I feel bad for my father, but he'll survive."
"Did you see the look on his face when the verdict
was read?" "I just need to get away from it all, you know?"

"I was wondering Ellie, what are your plans for next week?"
"I thought you'd never ask Clayton, I'm going away with you."
"That's what I like, a positive thinker." "You remind me of
Melissa."
"I'm going to take that as a compliment Clayton."
"You should!" "I'm interested in getting to know you better
Ellie, I figure I got a lot of time to spare."
"I'd like to spend as much of it with you as I possibly can."
"Have you've become a mind reader Clayton?"
"That's exactly what I was hoping for."
"Don't forget your bikini!"
"Yeah, that's all I'm bringing..."
"Here's to a new beginning!"

Silverspoons (Part 5 short story) Fiction

"This time I didn't storm in." "Your secretary
showed me in." "When I got your message
that you wanted to see me, I came right over."
"I knew you would be calling me sooner or
later."
"Well Troy, your right there." "I have to admit,
I wanted to see you behind bars." "I've always
thought that you killed Melissa." "Your evidence
and other resources have proven your innocence."
"I wanted to tell you that to your face, and to apologize."
"I still don't like the fact that you aided my mother
with information about Melissa." "Why did you do it Troy?"
"I was angry with you for splitting us up. I found it to be a
way to get back at you, I didn't know she was
planning to kill Melissa." "I swear to that!"
"And of course, blackmail turned its ugly head."
"I know you can't believe it, but I did love your
sister." "I wasn't always good to her, but she knew
in her heart that I did."
"I can't say that this makes us friends Troy, but I
am grateful that you came forward." "Even if it
was with the intention of only clearing your name."
"I knew it would clear you as well Clayton."
"On that note, I guess I'll make my departure."
"Troy!, thanks."
"Yeah, see ya round Clayton!"

Silverspoons (Part 5 short story) Fiction

"Detective's Stowe and Riles are here to see
you Mr. Thornhart."
"Send them in please, and thank you."

"Well you don't seem surprised Mr. Thornhart."
"No, I am not." "My lawyer has filled me in
somewhat."
"We're sorry to inform you of your mother's
involvement." "On the other hand, this does
clear your name." "The purpose of our visit
today is to let you know that we have arrested your
mother this morning." "She's not talking, your father
is out of town, and we are awaiting his arrival."
"We didn't know if you wanted to come down to the
station until he arrives."
"I appreciate the thought, but unless your requiring me to
appear there, I have no interest in that women."
"She is not my mother!"
"We thought if she was scared, she might open up to
you a little." "She is insisting on having her lawyer present."
"That's all we can get out of her."
"I can't help you, I'm sorry." "Here's my card, if you change
your mind, please call us, the sooner the better."
"Thank you, my secretary will show you out."

Silverspoons (Part 5 short story) Fiction

"Where's mother?"
"I don't know Clayton replied Amy, one of
his mother's servants of twenty years."
"Mother!, I know your here, come see me"
"Clayton really, what's with all the screaming?"
"Mother..you don't deserve that title." "You disgust me!"
"Now you can take that attitude and leave young man!"
"The only person leaving will be you, my dear
mother.." "I hope that they throw the book at you."
"Tell me mother, does Father know of your evil ways?"
"Does he know that you had his only daughter killed?"
"Now hold on Clayton, what gives you the right to
speak to me that way." "Right!, you lost any rights you
had for respect!" "I loathe you!"
"The only satisfaction worth coming will be your
damnation to Hell!, be it for the rest of your life or death!"

Silverspoons (Part 5 short story) Fiction

"Are you telling me Troy was trying to help me?"
"Well, in a weird selfish type of way." "His main
goal was to clear his own name, if it helped you
in the process, so be it."
"Your mother was making him crazy with threats."
"I am still shocked to say the least, that my mother
was behind all this." "I mean why?, how could she?,
I don't understand." Apparently, she was jealous
of Melissa, even envious." "She hated that Melissa
made a name for herself." "That your father praised
her to their friends, not so much her!"
"Melissa never knew of this, had she known about
father's praises.." "How could our own mother
hate her child, her flesh and blood." "I can never forgive
her."

"Do the police know of all this?" "I'm sure they do by now."
"They will be visiting you again, you can count on it."
"Don't worry Clayton, I'll be there to help you."
"Ellie, I wanted this to be cleared up for years, to
allow Melissa final peace." "I'm afraid she'll never have it."
"She'll have it Clayton, when she knows that your
resting easy."

Silverspoons (Part 5 short story)Fiction

"I can't believe this is all happening."
"Clayton, you have to stay calm, hear me out."
"Troy Baxter wasn't involved in your sister's killing."
"Nor did he kill this new women." "Your mother had
used him to get information on Melissa's comings
and goings." "Your mother paid him quite well
for that information." "It was shortly after Melissa
gave him the boot, he was in the right place at
the right time to be seduced." "Apparently your
mother wanted Melissa dead for a long time."

"But I don't get it!, why did Troy tried to blame me?"
"I'm guessing it was because you hated him so much."
"I hated what he did to Melissa." "He came forth now,
because the cops were coming down on him hard."
"He knew the only way to clear himself, was to expose
the truth." "And your mother was starting to back him into
a corner." "She got away with it for a long time, but
slipped up." "The word on the street is that she was
bad mouthing the hired guns that killed Melissa."
"Let's just say they retaliated in kind."
"They started planting evidence around town from
Melissa's killing." "Like that dead lady who tied the cases
together." "They knew her world would come crumbling down
eventually." "They were going to see to it!"
"An eye for an eye..." "Troy Baxter just helped that
info surface faster, by taking some of it to you that day."
"It wasn't out of friendship, but he saved your life."

Silverspoons (Part 4-short story) fiction

"Hello, Ellie!, I am a few minutes early, I hope
that's fine." "Not a problem Clayton welcome,
make yourself at home." "Would you mind pouring
us both a glass of wine, while I finish up here?"
"Absolutely!" "You know Ellie, you have a wonderful
home here." "Thank you Clayton."
"Listen Clayton, I thought we would have dinner first, then
go over the evidence together." "Is that alright with you?"
"I'm starving Ellie, I don't think those files are going anywhere."
"Good then, have a seat, everything is perfect timing."

Ellie's dinner was the best thing Clayton has had in a long
time. Usually, he's always eating fast food on the way home,
or coming home too late and grabbing whatever exsisted
in the fridge. He was enjoying himself and the interesting
conversation, but knew the ugly business was waiting.
He couldn't wait any longer now, no matter how delightful
the company was. His life was hanging in the wind, and
no longer would time wait for him.

"Give it to me straight Ellie." "Okay then Clayton, but I think you
should sit down." "I had Harry check every possible loop hole
for a mistake, but there wasn't any." "The evidence we compiled
proved without a doubt, that your mother had your sister killed."
"Are you out of your mind Ellie!" "That can't be true!" "I know our
mother didn't have time or patience for us growing up, but to
kill my sister?"
"She wasn't working alone, according to a third party."
"Who Ellie, I can't believe my ears, what third party?"
"Troy Baxter." "I knew he had..." "No Clayton, not what you
think."

Friday, August 8, 2008

Silverspoons (Part 4-short story) Fiction

"Hello, Ellie!"
"Find out anything more about the envelope
contents?" "Hi Clayton and yes, let's meet."
"How's seven?, we'll make it dinner as well."
"Sounds good." "Let's meet at my house, I'll
cook." "You cook Ellie, well with that busy
life of yours, who would've thought." "Okay
Clayton, I'm a pretty good cook I might ad."
"Well I'm looking forward to it Ellie, and thank you.
"The address is 58th N.Adams."
"There's a new twist in the case Clayton, I think
you'll be quite surprised." "Ellie, don't leave me
hanging like that." "I'm not intentionally Clayton,
but we can discuss it when you get here."

Seven o'clock couldn't come quick enough for
Clayton. Ellie's last comment left him wondering
all sorts of things. Clayton also wondered about
Ellie. What her house would look like, what would
she be wearing. Is she interested in him.
He knew he had more serious things on his plate,
but he would like to make Ellie one of them.
Not knowing where his life stood at the moment,
made this an almost impossible dream. But
Clayton had to hold onto it.

Silverspoons (Part 4-short story) fiction

"Mr. Thornhart, there are two detectives waiting
to see you." "Should I show them in?" "I don't have
a choice, thanks."
"Well hello Detectives, what can I do for you today?"
"Hello Mr. Thornhart."
"Were just following some leads on the case." "We
have reason to believe that there's more than one person
involved in killing this women." "And oddly enough,
you keep popping up here and there."
"I didn't do this!" "I swear someone is trying to frame
me again." "Well your alibi checked out Mr. Thornhart."
"But don't leave town for any reason." "We will be wanting
to talk with you again, this isn't over yet."

The case was starting to take shape. There was more
than one person involved. There's always that one person
that you would never think had anything to do with anything.
In this case, it was Mr. Thornhart's mother. That guy is in for
a rude awakening. And to think she paired up with that
Troy Baxter fellow. It was up to the detectives to figure out why.
What part did they play in it.
Yeah, there's a hot seat now, and we have a case to solve.
Our tips paid off, and lead us straight to the jackpot.
It's just a matter of time now. When you get this far in a case, it
usually starts to unravel all by itself. I believe this time, we
will have a conviction. And I also believe that the two case's
are linked together.

Silverspoons (Part 4-short story) fiction

"This is all that was in the box Harry?"
"Yep!, do you really need more?" "I suppose
not Harry." "I need to know who's prints are on
the knife, and the spoon." "You got it."

Harry worked as an all around kind of guy for
Ellie. Part private eye, body guard, best friend.
They had known each other since she was a child.
Harry and her father had gone to school together.
Ellie's father was killed in a car accident when she
was fifteen. Harry never married and found himself
quite comfortable taking care of Ellie. She's the daughter
he never had.

"I'm starting to think that there's more than one way to skin
a cat..." "My thoughts exactly Ellie, but can you prove it?"
"I'm certainly going to try Harry." "You kind of like this guy
don't you honey?" "Oh Harry, I don't know him well."
"Your talking to me honey, I don't know anyone well, but
I know where I'm suppose to be." "My heart tells me
what I don't know, look at us!" "You prove this guy clean,
and take it from there." "Don't close yourself off honey."
"Oh Harry, who will take care of you?" "Don't even try to
be funny with me sweetheart, You know I do just fine."
"And besides, I know you'll always be there."
"Always Harry."

Silverspoons (Part 4-Short story) Fiction

As Ellie looked through the contents of the
envelope, Clayton stared through with impatient
eyes and bated breath.
"What is in there Ellie?" "Well for starters Clayton,
apparently, you wrote a letter to Melissa," "and not
a I miss you letter."
"What's that suppose to mean?, let me see it."
" I'll hold it, said Ellie." "Is this your handwriting Clayton?"
"It looks like it, but I never wrote Melissa any letters."
"We talked all the time on the phone, or we met in
person." "Why would I need to write any letters?"
"Let me read this."
"What the hell! Ellie, I swear I did not say any of this."
"Melissa and I were best of friends, as well as brother
and sister."
This letter is stating that you threatened Melissa with
her life, if she didn't stop seeing Troy Baxter.
"That's not true!" "I wanted her to stop seeing him, but
I never threatened her for any reason, why would I?"
"Someone is definitely trying to frame me Ellie."
"Well Clayton, looks like you've got yourself a lawyer."

"Other contents include: a safe deposit key, or bus terminal,
a silver spoon with your initials engraved, and did I mention
that there's blood on it?"
"Ellie, I don't know what the hell is going on here, but I
swear I didn't do this." "You've got to believe me Ellie."
"Clayton slow down, let's compile the evidence first."
"I'll get my guy to check out this key and it's contents."
"We've got to get this to the police, but sit tight, and don't
say anything to anybody OK?"
"OK Ellie."

Silverspoons (Part 3-Fiction)

"Hi Ellie, I'm sorry for running a bit late."
"I just got here myself Clayton, no problem."
"Thank you so much for meeting me." "As you
know, I was a bit crazed when I called."
"What's going on Clayton?" "Well, first of all,
here's one dollar." "I have now officially hired you
as my attorney." "Clayton, it doesn't really work that
way." "Well for now, it's that client attorney privilege
thing." "Okay Clayton, what the hell is going on?"

"Melissa's ex-boyfriend Troy Baxter came to see me."
"I had suspected that he was behind Melissa's death."
"But the cops said he had an alibi." "Why is he
contacting you now?" "I think it has to do with
the new girl that was found dead." "I think he is
trying to frame me again." "Again?, you think he
tried to frame you before?" "Yes, he brought me this
envelope." "I haven't opened it yet." "Well let's see
Clayton, give it here." "Shouldn't we have checked
for finger prints or something?" "Clayton you watch
too much television." "I won't handle anything inside
with my bare hands." "I'm surprised you didn't go for
it." "I thought it wise to wait for you, seems I need to
be extra careful now."
"Oh my God Clayton, you are going to need me as your
attorney."

Silverspoons (Part 3-Fiction)

"Ellie, Clayton Thornhart here." "Listen,
I really need to speak with you right away."
"Clayton, well hello to you too." "I'm sorry
Ellie, I just had a scene in my office with one
of Melissa's ex's." "That's why I need to talk
to you." "Melissa? I presume we're talking
about your sister?" "Yes, of course, I know I
should start over." "Can I explain it all when
we meet?" "Sure Clayton, when is good for
you?" "How's 1:00 at the Metro Cafe?, "have
you've eaten lunch yet?" "No, I'll be there, bye
Clayton."

Clayton was not sure of anything at this point.
He had'nt even opened the envelope yet. He
almost did, but was so agitated with Troy that
he had thrown it across the room. Just as well,
because it had given him time to think. He should
wait and open it in front of Ellie. Not that he had to,
but it seemed like a good idea. He knew now
with certainty, that he would need to hire Ellie
for his attorney. He also knew that the cops
were'nt far behind in office storming. Thanks to
whatever Troy was up to. What if Troy killed this
new women too. He's going to try and make me
take the fall for this murder. The cops couldn't prove
anything with Melissa's murder, so he's making sure they
do with this one...

Silverspoons (Part 3-Fiction)

"Where is he?" yelled Troy Baxter as he
stormed Clayton Thornharts office. I know
he's here. "You can't go in there" stated Maggie,
Clayton's secretary of twelve years. "Don't tell me
what I can't do," "There you are, Mr. Thornhart."
"Well, what a fancy office your money bought you."
"What do you want Troy?" Clayton impatiently
snapped."
"You always make a habit of storming in people's
office's unannounced?" "I should have security throw
you out on your face." "Yeah, but you won't." "Your
just as curious of why I'm here, as I am of you." Troy
aimlessly glared.

"I've hated your guts ever since you started trouble
for Melissa and myself." "She never would have left me."
"Who are you fooling Troy, she was smart enough to do
that on her own."
"You should have been convicted all those years ago."
Clayton yelled out. "Me?, now who's the one fooling
themselves." "You planned Melissa's death for a long time,
in hopes to frame me." "But it back fired didn't it?"
"The police thought it was you all those years ago."

"How did you do it Clayton?" "I gotta give you credit,
it was brilliant." Troy said with wishful admiration
had it been his idea." "That's it!, no more, get out!"

"In due time, my friend, in due time." "I want you to
study what's in this envelope." "I suggest you look
very carefully, and think twice before the cops start
snooping around again." "Get out! now screaming Clayton.
"Don't ever show your face back here again, or I'll..."
"Oh I think you'll be looking for me Clayton, I'm sure
I'll be back." "Bye cutie, Troy snickers in Maggie's
direction.

"Maggie, get Ellie on the phone." a now distraught
Clayton.

My apologies

Sorry folks, I had guests for a few days, and
decided not to get on the computer. I actually
didn't have time to. I apologize for the lack of
commitment to my writing. I know how all of you
missed me...ha ha ha..

I hope that all of you are enjoying my latest story telling.
I'm trying not to bore anyone, but considering it is the
internet, one never knows...just hang in there, if you don't
like this story, maybe the next. But the important
thing is to keep coming back. Eventually, you'll find
something you'll like. And of course, I'll be going
back to my poetry entries soon. So have fun, be
intrigued, pass my blog along, be seeing you on the highway.

Silverspoons (Part 3-Fiction)

Back at the police station, Detective Tony Riles
and Detective Ed Stowe hash out what little evidence
they have. "I don't know Ed, maybe we're chasing
our own tails here" said Tony. "Auh, that's not like you
to give in so early," replied Ed.

Okay, we have another silver spoon left at the scene.
Again no finger prints, wishful thinking. One dead lady,
early twenties. "Hey, she kidda looks like that Melissa
Thornhart chick." "Yeah, I was thinking that myself Ed."
"What if this killer is not the obvious suspect, but connected
to the suspects we have somehow." Not just some random
nut job copying a high profile case.
"Yeah, there was always something odd about the Thornhart
case that stuck in my gut, we just couldn't prove it."
"I know your gonna think I'm crazy, but I'm leaning with that Baxter
dude." said tony. "His reputation is not one of subtle
character." "So your giving up on the Clayton angle," replied
Ed. "No Ed, but I do think there's a connection somehow there.
And we're gonna find out.

Silverspoons- (Part 3 Fiction- Short Story

Clayton had thought the past was resting behind him.
But this new case in question was keeping him awake
at nights. It brought back all the details of Melissa's
case. He knew the police were coming back, he
could feel it in his bones. They always looked at him
as the suspect in his sister's murder.

The police had found the silverspoon and tried to say
that Clayton planted it at the scene as a message
to their parents. As to say; it was all their fault.
They made this happen. Look at all the years of
disappointments and failures. The police have a
tendency to exaggerate. They were just trying to
get me to confess. Confess to a crime I did not
commit.

I know that they want to pin me for this murder, since
they could not make my sister's case stick. All they're
going on is that damn silverspoon again.

Silverspoons (Part 2 Fiction - Short Story

The police had been moving down there
suspect list to Troy Baxter. The ex-boyfriend
to Melissa Thornhart. When Melissa Thornhart
was murdered, a silverspoon of the collection
had been found in Troy's possession. He claimed
that she had given it to him, sort of a private joke.
However, the one at the scene had been wiped clean.
We couldn't prove anything linking him to the crime.
But his track record was not clean as a whistle.

Troy Baxter had a criminal record. We also knew of his
battering to Melissa Thornhart. Though Melissa was unaware,
Clayton had run a check on this guy some years back.
Prior to Melissa's death. Good news he wasn't. He was
one of our suspects then. He didn't have an alibi.

The women that was murdered recently had some
similarities to that case. We don't know if it's the same killer
or a copy cat case. But this time, we're going to catch him.

Silverspoons (Part2 - Fiction Short Story)

Clayton arrived home about 11:30 that evening.
He couldn't get Ellie Sinclair off his mind.
She was different from the usual sort of women
he went out with. He knew he was very attracted
to her. As Clayton prepared to retire for the evening,
his thoughts kept drifting to Ellie. He imagined
what her lips tasted like, what they would feel like
against his own. Her long legs slender and smooth
to the touch. He knew he would dream of her tonight.
As if all one thought, he jumped into bed and switched
off the lights.

Ellie arrived at work early as usual. She owned her
own private attorney practice. Ellie Nelson, her reputation
was well known around town. She would take on cases
that others felt were losers. It was quiet so far, no cases
she had to worry about for the moment. Clayton was on her
mind. She didn't know quite what to make of him. He was
gorgeous, as the rumors had implied. He kept her attention
all evening. Which for Ellie these days, was a rare occurance.
She was not sure having these feelings about him was a good
idea. After all, she may be his attorney in the near future.
It definitely would be an intricate case for sure.
She wanted to know more about Clayton. She knew she had
to see him again, and not necessarily for business.
